Feeling hot, hot, hot…
With anticipated local high temperatures in the 90’s this week (over 100 with the humidity index!), please remember to consider your pets’ needs, too!

*** Never leave a dog in a parked car. Temperatures can turn deadly within minutes.

*** When walking, sticking to the cooler times of day. Hot asphalt can burn your dog’s paws. If you can’t count to 5 with your own hand touching the ground, it’s too hot for your dog!

*** Be sure to provide your pets with plenty of fresh water. Add ice for extra coolness.

*** If your dog is to be outside for any length of time, be sure there is ample shade and access to water.

*** If you take your dog to the beach, bring fresh water along. A dog cannot drink salt water.

Remember: Hot dogs belong on the grill, not in your cars or out in this weather!
