Seventy-two dogs took a one-way trip to Michigan, Wednesday morning, where they will be dispersed to various shelters in the state, to be adopted by families.

14 dogs arrived this morning from Freeport to Nassau and they will be available for adoption as soon as they are all spayed and neutered. They are all under 1 year old!

Operation Potcat was held at the BHS over 5 days from 29 January to 2 February. The aim was to spay and neuter as many cats as possible to stop the growth of the cat population in New Providence. We’re pleased to announce that we sterilised a total of 406 cats and 3 rabbits!
The BHS is in URGENT need of your old and gently used towels, please! They’re used for bathing animals and for them to sleep on and stay warm and cozy! Please bring any towels for donation into the shelter.
